Who are we?

What do we do?

Equity and Equality is an essential part of creating a safe and positive environment for all people. It ensures all people are treated fairly, but also given any additional support they might need. 

The Equity & Equality committee work hard to further develop our school community through awareness periods, displays, arranging events, creating resources, managing The Safe Space and reviewing other aspect of the school environment. 

We strive to create a respectful place where everyone feels they are able to be themselves. 

We have two Year 11 Equity & Equality student leaders who take lead in delivering assemblies, manage the inclusion display board, regularly check the inclusion question box, take meeting minutes in our weekly meeting and represent the EE committee in and out of school. 

The committee is overseen by Miss Nutton, our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Lead and Ms Beck, our Head of Inclusion. 

Our aims

To further develop inclusive attitudes within our school community. 

To prepare our students for the wider world. 

To make all students, staff and visitors feel safe, welcome and respected.
