Curriculum Intent

Year 7 Unit 1   Year 7 Unit 2   Year 8 Unit 1   Year 8 Unit 2

KS3

In year 7 and 8, every student receives one music lesson per week, where we like to explore the curriculum through a mix of performance, composition and appraising tasks.

GCSE

GCSE music is an ideal choice for students who learn a musical instrument or have singing lessons. We follow the Edexcel specification and students explore the curriculum through a variety of performance, composition and appraising tasks. Each student at GCSE music receives a lesson with one of our instrumental teachers to help prepare for their performance exam. We currently offer lessons in piano, drums, woodwind, singing and guitar.
